Betty Carvajal, Ph.D., LMHC, CAP

Dr. Betty Carvajal has extensive training and more than ten years of experience after conducting thousands of mental health evaluations for immigration clients. Dr. Carvajal has doctoral and masters degrees in clinical and counseling psychology. Dr. Carvajal graduated with distinction and Honors from Carlos Albizu University. Dr. Carvajal IS a member of the Psi Chi Psychology Honors Society and the American Psychological Association (APA). She is a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization reprogramming) clinician and trauma expert. She ALSO is a certified addiction professional, hypnotist, and a neurolinguistic programming clinician. Dr. Betty Carvajal has received training in the documentation of torture and trauma through Physicians for Human Rights and training in forensic evaluations for undocumented immigrants through the American Psychological Association.
