Dr. Carvajal is a licensed Psychotherapist and supervisor for the State of Florida Mental Health Board. She has been conducting mental health evaluations for immigration for over ten years to those in immigration proceedings and working with U.S. licensed attorneys. Examples of immigration type cases included: UVisa, Asylum, VAWA. Extreme Hardship, Cancelation of Removal. Dr. Carvajal’s immigration mental health evaluations consist of two sessions with the applicant, which includes a number of psychometric tests and a final extensive report that is sent directly to your attorney. These tests reveal the applicants’ psychological symptoms, which are used to support their immigration case. Dr. Carvajal conducts evaluations in her office in St. Augustine Florida or through video conferencing.
Research studies have demonstrated the utility of Mental Health Evaluations in immigration cases. In a study of asylum seekers, 89% of those that received medical evaluations from Physician for Human Rights were granted asylum versus 37.5% of U.S. asylum seekers who did not receive mental health evaluations for immigration.

Dr. Carvajal is the CEO of Psychotherapy Bilingual Solutions, LLC Immigration Evaluation Institute with over a decade of experience conducting mental health assessments for immigration clients undergoing immigration proceedings. She has provided immigration mental health evaluations for a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds and different cultures, including individuals from South and Central America, the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia. Dr. Carvajal's educational experience includes a clinical Psychology degree where she graduated with high distinction and Honors from APA-accredited Carlos Albizu University in 2005.
Dr. Carvajal is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Psi Chi Psychology Honors Society. Dr. Carvajal's internship include rotations at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She is a certified EMDR clinician , specialized Trauma type of therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming). Dr. Carvajal is also certified in hypnosis and trained in (NLP) Neurolinguistic Programming. Dr. Carvajal's interest in addiction motivated her to become a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAP) from the Florida Certification Board. Dr. Carvajal is a licensed Psychotherapist (MH 11064 ) and a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida Mental Health Board.
